C'est un joli petit mélo. J'ai pas grand chose à en dire de plus, c'est du pur Sofia Coppola dans le ton et la forme. Son intérêt est quand même de faire voir une forme d'emprise assez inédite au cinéma, implacable mais subtile, cruelle mais presque sans coupable, Elvis déjouant presque toutes les fautes morales qu'on attendait de lui, notamment dans les deux premiers tiers (qui ont une perversité assez latente, mais qui ne se consume jamais vraiment ; le dernier tiers est moins intéressant car il cherche plus à cocher les cases : coups de pression, tromperie, souffler le chaud puis le froid, fonctionnement digne de secte etc), qui se démarquent de ce qu'on a vu jusqu'à présent dans ce sous-genre qu'est devenu le film sur l'emprise.
